INTRODUCTION: Proniosomal gels are generally present in transparent, translucent or white semisolid gel texture, which makes them physically stable during storage and transport. Due to the limited solvent system present, the proniosomes formed were the mixture of many phases of liquid crystal, viz. lamellar, hexagonal and cubic phase liquid crystals as given in dissolution of most surfactants in water, leads to the formation of lipotropic liquid crystals rather than micelle solution. Lamellar phase shows sheets of surfactants arranged in bilayer form, whereas in hexagonal phase cylindrical units are packed in hexagonal fashion. Cubic phase consists of curved bio-continuous lipid bilayer extending in three dimensions, separating two congruent networks of water channels. These liquid crystals present an attractive appearance because of their, transparency and high viscosity, although in the beginning of its formation, a short range of less viscous compositions (so called liquid/gel compositions) appear in some cases. Addition of water leads to interaction between water and polar groups of the surfactant results in swelling of bilayers. When the concentration of solvent is increased above a limited value, the bilayer tends to form random spherical structures, i.e., multilamellar, multivesicular structures. When shaken with water i.e., the aqueous phase of water, complete hydration takes place leading to the formation of niosomes. The beauty of these proniosomes lies in their ability to rearrange as stable niosomal suspensions, on hydration with water.
Formulation and evaluation of Gokhuru herbal syrup
The goal of the current study is to formulate and evaluate a herbal syrup that contains Gokhuru (Tribulus terrestris Linn.), a medicinal plant that is frequently used in traditional Ayurvedic medicine to treat renal and urinary issues. Because gokhuru contains bioactive components such steroidal saponins, flavonoids, alkaloids, glycosides, and tannins, it has important pharmacological properties like diuretic, anti-urolithiatic, nephroprotective, antiinflammatory, and aphrodisiac actions. Gokhuru's dried fruits were gathered, verified, prepared, and extracted using an aqueous extraction technique. To formulate a tasty and stable herbal formulation, the extract was added to a syrup basis that had been made with the appropriate sweetening, flavoring, and preservative ingredients. Color, odor, taste, pH, viscosity, specific gravity, refractive index, and total soluble solids were among the organoleptic and physicochemical characteristics of the prepared syrup that were assessed. To guarantee the formulation's stability and safety, stability tests and microbial quality evaluation were also carried out. The prepared syrup had good stability during storage, satisfactory microbiological quality, and acceptable physicochemical properties, according to the results. The Gokhuru herbal syrup is a stable, safe, and patient-friendly dosage form with potential therapeutic benefits for renal and urinary tract problems, according to the study's findings. The formulation and standardization of herbal liquid formulations for better patient compliance and broader use in contemporary healthcare systems is supported by this work.

ABSTRACTVery booming now a day pandemic disease is COVID-19 worldwide caused more than 1.21 million deaths and may expecting more in coming days. COVID-19 caused by Novel CoV (Corona Virus)-2019 and mainly affects respiratory system. In Ministry of AYUSH guidelines suggested to take a ‘health drink as; herbal tea/ decoction (Kadha) made from Tulsi (Basil), Dalchini (Cinnamon), Kalimirch (Black pepper), Shunthi (Dry Ginger) and Munakka (Raisin) - once or twice a day. In current research work the immunity boosting rasayan kvatha and evaluation did. The various physiochemical parameter like pH, Specific gravity, viscosity etc determined for three sample preparation. AST study also carried out for all prepared preparation and stable formulation (F3) tested for antimicrobial study against Bacillus subtilis and Staphylococcus aureus. The F3 formulation found to be stable and shows antimicrobial activity against tested pathogens.Keywords: Immunity, Kvatha, Tulsi, Evaluation, Antimicrobial.
